Deacon Blocks 77-80

One more month to go. I can't wait!

For now, all in a row :)

I tackled Block 77 first and used the same print for both the red and green petals.

Attributed to Sarah Foster / Mount Holly

Block 78 was pretty easy. One large neutral print circle with green appliques.

                                                        Attributed to William D Horner

Block 79 had 28 small pieces. This was the 2nd time making the same block but in a different color combination.

This was the other version--block #63.

Block 80--the last one for Month 20.

An 8 p.m. sunset :)

Enjoy the rest of your week!

  1. Wow, your persistence has paid off, Barbara! This is so exciting to be drawing near to closure on this beautiful quilt. Your applique work is exquisite, but I had to laugh when you said block 78 was pretty easy. The only one that looks remotely like anything I'd call easy is number 80--because it could be machine pieced! :)
    Pretty sunset through the trees.

  2. Your blocks are fabulous Barbara ! Congrats !!

  3. This quilt is going to be absolutely amazing.

  4. C'est toujours avec un grand plaisir que je découvre l'évolution de ta courtepointe. Félicitations, j'adore.

  5. Oh my! It is no secret that I love the applique blocks best, but this months blocks are simply gorgeous. It is amazing how that #79 block can look so different in different colorways. Stunning!

  6. I have so enjoyed watching your progress on this special quilt.
