This morning we woke up to frigid temps, howling winds and 2" of snow!
But just the other day I spotted this beautiful pink cluster of blooms along the driveway.
What a pleasant surprise!
I've been doing a little Adirondack decorating. The Bohemian Waxwing watercolor was painted by my granddaughter when she was in high school. She's now an art major at U Delaware and like everyone else is taking online classes from home.
I collect bird nests when they've fallen to the ground. The one on the left was actually found under our canoe.
I'm making good progress quilting Dear Daughter :)
Sunday morning our daughter and her husband took us on a trail with a beautiful view of a meadow and Whiteface Mountain.
Another view.
A BIG black bear with an important message :)
Take care!

It has been snowing here every day this week! Very strange weather indeed. Birds nests are so wonderful to find. Have you ever found one in a Christmas tree you've cut or purchased from a lot/tree farm? That is supposed to bring you good luck!
ReplyDeleteWinter and spring does seem to get confused at times. Cute reminder.
ReplyDeleteGlad you are doing good. I hope the snow is gone! When spring starts to arrive I don't like it when we go backwards!! Take care.
ReplyDeleteI remember being cautioned that birds nests carry mites and other bugs. I hope you put them in a plastic bag and fumigated them with something like moth balls for a while first before bringing them into the house.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you're OK !!
ReplyDeleteThank you for the beautiful pictures of flowers !!
We just need some kindness nowdays....
Take care Barbara !
Love the bear! You are farther along with Springtime color than we are - the spark of pink is lovely. We got hit with a foot of snow Easter weekend and our poor feathered friends were so thankful for the suet and birdseed banquet placed in the trees. Hope no more snow now. Beautiful quilting going on for you.
ReplyDeleteHappy to hear you are well and even having fun decorating your new "permanent" home. We are certainly fortunate that we live in areas where we can get outside and walk in peaceful bliss. I love the bear! We have a rock here on the island that looks like a turtle (someone painted it green years ago) and I noticed that someone had placed a mask on it last week. Keep the sense of humor going!
