Here are the other 10 quilts that are stored beneath my Eagle Medallion quilt on the guest room bed.
Hexie Heaven (2016) was made after taking Barb V.'s workshop :)
You guessed it. All those stars were extras from Stars in a Time Warp. I pulled all the ones that were black, red, and blue and made In A Flash! (2016).
I just about emptied one drawer of scraps making Summer Scraps (2015).
Do you ever forget what you named a quilt?? I did. This is Potluck (2015) and was inspired by an antique quilt that I saw on Pinterest.
Playmates Revisited is a Peto reproduction that
was started by Natalie in 1996 and finished by me in April '18.
Morris Hexathon (2017) was a QAL with Barbara B. It's focus was on English textile designer, William Morris. Lots of fussy-cutting in this one!
More scraps! Patch Basket (2018) was inspired by a quilt in Edyta Sitar's book, Handfuls of Scraps.
Blossoms & Butterflies (1991) made from vintage fabrics that had already been cut into butterfly shapes and petals. I paid $2.00 for them at a garage sale.
Broken Dishes (2017) was my own design using blocks made by 40 quilters who participated in Barb V's swap.
Way West was Barbara B's design for her Westering Women BOM series in 2016. I finished this quilt in 2017.
So there you have it!

In remembrance of September 11, 2001, I wanted to share this Pride In America quilt with you today.
This was a
collaborative effort among the students in my husband's Recreation
Leadership class and the Recreation Majors Club at Montclair State
University in 2001. I assembled the blocks and added the stenciled
borders. It was quilted by Janice Hairston, a member of our local guild.

I hope you are enjoying the last days of summer and planning lots of new projects for the long winter months ahead :)

So many pretties! Love the way you put scraps together - it just creates such a warm and welcoming quilt. If I could pick a favorite it would be the Patch Baskets...but then also love Potluck, Morris Hexagon, Summer Scraps, Hexie Heaven...oh my...just all of them!
ReplyDeleteWow I really loved all of those quilts. Maybe someday I will have a great collection like that one! Thanks for all of the inspiration.
ReplyDeleteSo glad you stopped by!
DeleteI thoroughly enjoyed the bed turning. Each quilt made me smile for a different reason, and I wished they were all on beds at my house. :)
ReplyDeleteA fitting final quilt to share today.
What glorious quilts you have made, Barbara! Favorites would have to be the red and brown hourglass, which is stunning, and the absolutely delightful butterflies and blossoms. How lucky to find the parts, ready to play with! I've so enjoyed your bed turning!
ReplyDeleteI loved these last two posts with the bed turning, thanks again! I wonder if a queen size version of Summer Scraps 2015 would use all the scraps accumulated around here, it's a great quilt!
ReplyDeleteWho can pick a favorite! It's been so fun and inspirational to see part of your quilting history. The quilt Pride In America is beautiful quilt to share today.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for sharing all your wonderful quilts. As a new follower to your blog I am very happy to see your "older" quilts and learn what kind of quilts you love to make. Potluck is really a gem of scrap busting quilt. I love it that one and of course, Broken Dishes because there's one or two from me in there. ;^)
ReplyDeleteAll of these quilts are so nice. I especially appreciate how you used vintage blocks from a garage sale to make a beautiful quilt. Wouldn't the original maker love that? Fitting patriotic quilt on a tough day....
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful bedturning! So many inspiring quilts. I love your basket quilt and it was nice to see you finished hexie quilt too. Yay for a swap block quilt. I know I've seen these over time, but its fun to see them all in one post.
